"Former captain Sourav Ganguly was recalled to India’s one-day squad while Virender Sehwag and Irfan Pathan were left out for the first two one-day international matches against the West Indies.
Rahul Dravid has been retained as captain while Sachin Tendulkar has been named the vice-captain. The in-form Robin Uthappa has managed to force himself back into the one-day side after some fine performances in domestic cricket. The selectors have sent a strong message to all players by not including Sehwag. He had earlier been stripped of the vice-captaincy following his poor performance during most of last year. "
