Top End Series:

"New Zealand A 'White' have beaten the Northern Territory Chief Minister's XI by 28 runs thanks mainly to a century from Matthew Bell.
New Zealand A lost the early wicket of Matthew Sinclair for a duck but following his dismissal Michael Papps joined Matthew Bell and together they formed a brillant 141 run stand before Papps edged a delivery to wicket-keeper Martin Brown and was out for 72. Bell brought up his hundred shortly after and together with the middle order saw New Zealand A through to 262-6 after 50 overs. The Northern Territory Chief Minister's XI started their innings well but fell away in the middle stages losing four wickets for 34 runs and ended their innings on 234-7 after 50 runs, 28 runs short. Chris Martin was the pick of the bowlers picking up 3-23 from his 10 overs while rookie fast bowler Richard Sherlock impressed with figures of 0-31 from 10. "
