"The character Shakti is an India comic book heroine (Raj Comics) who describes herself as a symbol of the empowerment of women. In appearance, she resembles Kali, a Hindu Goddess. In the form of a power-source, Shakti lives inside the body of a woman called Chanda, who has been abandoned by her husband for not giving birth to a boy. Chanda's husband killed all the daughters she gave birth to and tried to kill her as well, but she was saved by the power of Shakti. "
